Joe Lindstorm is a Wildlife Control Technician with Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control in Pittsburgh, PA. He grew up on his family’s farm in the small town of Pittsfield, just over two hours north of Pittsburgh, where his love for wildlife and the outdoors began. Joe studied Conservation Biology at Unity College in Maine and earned a degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York in Jamestown. His passion for conservation led him to participate in numerous programs, including work with Allegheny College, the Wildlife Leadership Academy where he became a certified wildlife ambassador, the Chautauqua County Watershed Conservancy, and Trout Unlimited. He’s also volunteered with the PA Fish and Boat Commission, the PA Game Commission, and the National Wild Turkey Federation, among other state and federal agencies.
Before joining Skedaddle, Joe served as a Park Ranger with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He finds the combination of public service, wildlife knowledge, and hands-on skills made Skedaddle the perfect fit. As a technician, his days typically start with property assessments or hands-on exclusion work alongside his team, helping Pittsburgh-area homeowners solve their wildlife problems humanely. He finds the work incredibly rewarding, especially the chance to protect both people and animals in each unique situation. Outside of work, Joe is an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, biking, camping, and spending time outside with his dogs and girlfriend.
