Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control president & CEO Bill Dowd was on the Satellite Home & Garden show this past Saturday, hosted by Rob Howard.

In case you missed the show, here’s a few tips Bill passed on to keep your home pest free throughout the winter, and all year round:

1. Perform a quarterly inspection of the home. Walk around the exterior and address any gaps or cracks.
2. Make sure your BBQ area is clean. This is a prime area to attract mice and squirrels, which can lead to bigger wildlife coming around.
3. Poisons may work initially, but they’re not a long-term solution. The best way to rid your home of a wildlife and pest infestation is prevention.
