Here are a few of the common types of nests you may encounter.

Starling Nest

Starlings build their nests in holes and cavities by loosely weaving together twigs, bark, grass, and small pieces of trash. They line the inside of the nests with feathers or moss. These birds generally lay four to six eggs per season, and their eggs are a pale blue. Starlings build their nests between 6 and 60 feet from the ground in areas where the surrounding structure offers protection. They have been known to build nests in the holes of trees and utility poles and around your house against the eaves, on window ledges, or in vents. Starlings are often persistent once they choose a nesting place, determinedly rebuilding their nests even if you remove them. When they are in nature, their summer nests are in the branches of trees and their winter nests are in crevasses within the trunk of a tree.
