Rats
Rats are one of the most common wildlife intruders around the world. They reproduce rapidly and often build nests inside buildings. They are dangerous to have around because of the diseases they carry and the physical damage they inflict on buildings, especially when they begin gnawing with their powerful front teeth.Opossums
Don’t be fooled by these animals’ famous ability to feign death. They are alive and quite present in Milwaukee and other cities. They love cat food and apples and are usually most active at night. The other foods they’ll eat include insects, fruits and trash. They don’t tend to stick around for long, so if you’re patient you’ll probably see their backs eventually. But if you must get rid of them immediately give your local animal control experts a call.Raccoons
Raccoons are popular in cities like Milwaukee. They have developed a very special set of skills that allow them to blend in perfectly and survive even in areas that have undergone drastic changes due to human activities. The fact that they are opportunistic omnivores makes mealtime less of a hassle for these animals and increases their survival rates. They are also pretty intelligent as they figure out ways to access buildings and bypass the most complicated garbage bin locks to get to the tasty treats inside.Rabbits
Rabbits are vegetarians and so they’ll be attracted to any vegetables you may have on your property, and yes they do have a special love for carrots. You won’t normally have a problem with rabbits intruding on the inside of a building as they prefer to nest outdoors. Additionally, they are more active when you’re less likely to be out and about as they do their business during dusk and dawn. Their reproductive stats make them low-level threats as well since they produce around three litters each year, with each litter having up to seven but very few making it to maturity.Skunks
These little fellers have a pretty stinky reputation as their notorious spray has a powerful and stubborn stench. Thankfully though, their nesting habits resemble those of rabbits. Skunks prefer to stay outdoors and will satisfy with nests under log piles, decks, and sheds. They are busy at night and almost never seen during the day.Woodchuck or Groundhog
