Baby Red-tailed Hawk Rescue at the Hamilton Spectator

spectator_blog2

A big thanks to Vivian LaFlamme from the Hamilton SPCA for assisting us with the rescue, and for lending her expertise in assessing the injured bird. It has been deemed unfit to return to the nest for now, and is being further examined at the shelter.

Another big thank you to Gilles Joseph at United Rentals in Stoney Creek. We needed a 90-foot boom truck ASAP, and Gilles delivered (literally). He maneuvered the truck with precision and we absolutely could not have performed our job without him.

It really is good to have friends in high places.
