About the author: Jordan Spoelstra has dedicated much of his life to service — through his military career, community service efforts, and his work with Skedaddle. A member of the Canadian Armed Forces since 2004, he served as a full-time reservist, including an operational tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2006. After nearly two decades in the military, including years in recruiting, he officially transitioned to civilian life in April 2025. During this time, Jordan spent two years working closely at a homeless shelter, deepening his commitment to helping others. In October 2017, Jordan and his business partner, Reubin Kuc, took on the opportunity to operate Skedaddle’s London location. The two met through their church and share a strong commitment to community and service. Jordan is genuinely excited to connect with the people of London, exploring the community alongside his wife, Deanna, and their three children. For him, it's about building meaningful relationships, making a positive impact, and helping homeowners protect their properties from wildlife.
